The ensoETM® is a single-use silicone tube that is inserted into the esophagus to control patient temperature. The ensoETM is connected to an external heat exchange unit like the Blanketrol III and is inserted in a similar manner to a standard orogastric tube.
Positioned at the core, next to the great vessels and the left atrium of the heart, water circulates inside the closed loop system to efficiently cool or warm a patient.
